Patent Requirements

In order to apply and file for a patent in China please provide us the following:

1. Patent Information

   1. Name and address of the applicant
   2. Name, address and citizenship of the Inventor(s)
   3. Invention Title, Abstract of the Invention, Utility Model or Design
   4. Invention, Utility Model or Design Text Description
   5. Claims
   6. Set of formal drawings
   7. Translation of the foreign patent application to the local language if extending the original application
   8. Official certified priority document, including translation if needed, priority number and country of origin
   9. Official search results from the Patent Office where the patent was first filed

   The Patent filing can also be presented with the information from points 1, 2, and 3 along with copy of the original foreign patent information, priority information including date and number.

   The certified priority document should be presented within 30 days.

2. Power of Attorney

   We will provide you a Power of Attorney with completion instructions.

3. Assignment Document

   If the applicant is a different entity than the inventor, legalization and notarization of the assignment must also be provided.
